Imagine to Float

Imagine to Float is an ongoing artistic practice exploring handcraft, boatbuilding, and collective engagement with water through workshops, installations, and participatory constructions.

The practice brings people together, particularly young people of all ages, to explore material knowledge, shared making, and the cultural value of craft.

Founded by architect, artist, and educator Nico Ibaceta, based in Oslo, Norway, Imagine to Float investigates how collective acts of making can connect people with materials, landscapes, and each other. Through boatbuilding and hands-on processes, the practice creates spaces for collaboration, imagination, and belonging.
